City of Burnaby
Burnaby is well located between the City of Vancouver to the west and Coquitlam, Port Moody and New Westminster to the east and bounded by Burrard Inlet
and the Fraser River. It is the 3rd most populated urban centre in B.C. with a diverse population estimated at almost 200,000 that is rapidly growing.
Towering 1,200-foot Burnaby Mountain is home to the renowned Simon Fraser University. The British Columbia Institute of Technology is also found in Burnaby.
Burnaby also features the Metrotown Shopping concourse, Brentwood Mall & Lougheed Mall Shopping Centres which are all serviced by Skytrain and transit bus access.
Burnaby is well served by public transit having two Skytrain routes that pass through the central and northern part of the city. Couple that with an extensive
bus system and you'll find its easy to go "Green" in Burnaby.
It is not hard to be active in Burnaby. It has a full array of parks and golf courses. Current Home to the Vancouver Whitecaps until the end of 2010, Swangaurd Stadium at Central Park has hosted
thousands of sporting events both professional and amateur.
For the green thumb, South Burnaby has plenty of greenhouses and small farms selling local flowers, plants and fresh vegetables. Situated in the Southeast corner of the city around the Marine
Drive area you can find almost anything your garden needs at great prices.
The business corridors in Burnaby are found along Kingsway, Boundary Road, Lougheed Highway, & Hastings Street.
North Burnaby in the Burnaby Heights area can be considered the "Little Italy" of Burnaby where you can find Italian Cafe's for great espresso and panini, bakeries and plenty of Italian Restaurants.

Not feeling prices for property in Vancouver? Burnaby is a great place to buy for those wanting to live downtown but who can't come to pay high prices for a tiny condominium.
Serviced very well by Skytrain into downtown it is only a 16 minute ride from Metrotown, 22 minutes from Brentwood Town Centre and 33 minutes from Lougheed Town Centre. With relatively more affordable real estate prices
it is a happy medium for those who work & play downtown & want to live close to the action without actually living downtown.

Thank you for your collective efforts in professionally listing, showing and selling my home. It is obvious why this team is considered to be one of the finest realtor teams in the Lower Mainland, as you have taken what many would consider to be a difficult
or stressful time, and made it into one that was clearly and carefully planned, well communicated and executed. As a client that has over the years both purchased and sold a home through Team Phil Haig, I offer my unsolicited recommendation for Team Phil Haig
to any client seeking a realtor one can trust, depend upon and that communicates effectively.
Congratulations to Team Phil Haig, from another satisfied client.
